SPENCER – Ashley Insurance Agency is proud to announce and welcome Suzette Raines Ashley as an Agent-Producer. As an independent agent with Ashley Insurance, she has the knowledge and resources to provide a wide range of insurance products to meet the diverse individual needs of clients. Suzette will work directly under the supervision of Bob Ashley, who founded the agency 35 years ago and was the 2017 recipient of the West Virginia Insurance Agent of the Year Award from the Independent Insurance Agents of West Virginia.
“I have worked with Suzette for many years on various projects during my time in Charleston, and I know she is an incredibly hard worker,” says Bob Ashley. “When an opportunity arose to bring her on full-time, I couldn’t say no to my daughter-in-law. I have enjoyed watching her engage with clients and learn the business. Suzette will be a great asset to our agency for many years to come.”
Suzette Raines Ashley is a native of Belle, West Virginia and a 2002 graduate of Riverside High School. She earned double undergraduate degrees from West Virginia State University and a masters degree from George Washington University. She is a former member of the West Virginia House of Delegates and a managing partner at Capital Communications Group. In 2012, she was named one of the Women of the Year from Glamour Magazine as one of the top female candidates in the country. She also worked as an outreach director for the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life. She now serves as the District Executive of the Little Kanawha District of the Allohak Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Last summer, she married Ben Ashley, the oldest son of Bob and Anita Ashley, and together they live in Charleston.
